Matthew Todd "Matt" Lauer is a character in Father of the Pride. He only appeared in "Larry's Debut and Sweet Darryl Hannah Too."
Biography[]
Lauer is based on the real life journalist of the same name.
Personality[]
Lauer is quite a nosy busybody and something of an insensitive jerk. He is mean, rude, arrogant, greedy, and selfish. Lauer appears to care more about ratings and views than anything else.
His attitude is what drives Siegfried to a bitter hatred for Lauer, irritating Roy, who initially feels that Lauer has always been good to him and Siegfried. Later, during Siegfried and Roy's fight, when Lauer comes in and tells them to stop, Roy realizes Siegfried was right about Lauer always interrupting. He and Siegfried then make up by sharing licorice together.
